While Type2 Diabetes is partially related to genetics, it rarely affects people who are not overweight and eat well. (How is THAT for stating it gently?) Meanwhile, the ads for associated drugs rarely show grossly overweight person watching TV. They'll feature fit, older people walking in the park, throwing a ball for the dog, or otherwise being active. Um, yeah.
I want to know who made the decision to allow medication to be advertized on TV. That's just wrong. Oh so wrong. Here in Israel, we have minimal advertising for medication, and then only for over the counter drugs. If you think you are being brainwashed by medical advertising, ask your doctor if turning of your TV is right for you.
