Have you considered drinking a small glass of Kombucha tea before each meal? It has done wonders for me. Here is a post I did awhile back. Please check it out:

I did that for a while, and it helped my digestion. Then a few months later I started again and realised that it was making me itch, so I had to quit. When you do the GAPS diet, you stop being sensitive to foods, so I hope after the diet I can go back to it with no itchiness.

BTW, I tried to make it at home a couple times and it was a completel flop!
